Rodney G Johnson

My Story

Rodney G. Johnson has been making movies since his family bought their first camcorder in 1987. Starting with silly videos made in his backyard, he progressed to “epic” vacation videos and on to his first “feature” film after attending film school.  More recently, he worked with Rosemount High School student talent to produce several short films, and shot and edited an award winning documentary feature, 50 States 50 Days.  Among other personal short-film projects, he's produced three entries for the MNKINO Film Score Festival, and is currently developing a reimagining of his early attempt at a feature, Welcome to Alaska.
